General Information

Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University (LUVNU) is the largest and one of the oldest educational institutions in the Volyn region. It continues educational traditions established in the XVIIth century by brethren schools. Its history dates back to 1940.

The University boasts a comprehensive academic environment, encompassing 15 Faculties (Faculty of Physical Education and Health, Faculty of Pedagogical Education and Social Work, Faculty of Culture and Arts, Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Foreign Philology, Faculty of Philology and Journalism, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of History, Political Science and National Security, Faculty of Chemistry and Ecology, Faculty of Biology and Forestry, Faculty of Informations Technologies and Mathematics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of International Relations, Faculty of Geography), 2 Institutes (Educational and Scientific Physical and Technological Institute, Educational and Scientific Institute of Continuing Education), and the Preparatory Department. Another integral part of LUVNU is the College of Technology, Business and Law.

Currently, we educate undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.

LUVNU is also a member of the European University Association, the Consortium of Ukrainian Universities, and the University of Warsaw. University administration and staff work hard to guarantee that graduates’ university training corresponds with international standards, that the scientific schools function to their full potential, and that LUVNU occupies a worthy place among classical universities in Ukraine and Europe.
